Description
ROX (25 μM)
The ROX (rhodamine-X) dye is a passive reference dye for normalization and correction of well-to-well optical variations of the fluorescent reporter signal in real-time quantitative PCR or RT-PCR. Moreover, the dye can also correct pipeting errors and lamp intensity shift of the thermal cycler. The ROX dye does not change during the PCR cycles, thus providing a stable baseline for normalization of samples in different wells of the PCR plate.
ROX dye is compatible with real-time quantitative thermal cycler with ROX channel. Most quantitative thermal cycler require ROX dye at either 50 nM or 500 nM of final concentration.
The ROX dye is in 10 mM of Tris-HCl (pH 8.5), 0.1 mM of EDTA, and 0.01% of Tween-20.
